I have long wanted to study sheep and capture their subtle beauty. There is sense of peace and tranquility displayed, that is unlike other animals. Discovering this sheep farm not to far from our home was one of the highlights of late spring. This painting required layer upon layer of paint to build up a rich texture for the wool which gives the painting a more dimensional quality.
